Article Retraction/ Withdrawal
Afrocentric Legal Review reserves the right to retract, withdraw, correct, or issue expressions of concern regarding published or submitted articles where substantial ethical, legal, or scholarly issues arise.
Grounds for Retraction
Retraction may occur where there is evidence of:
i. Duplicate publication
ii. Fabricated or falsified data
iii. Ethical violations
iv. Authorship disputes
v. Fraudulent peer review practices
vi. Unreliable findings
Withdrawal of Manuscripts
Authors may request withdrawal of submitted manuscripts before acceptance by providing written justification to the editorial office.
The journal may also withdraw manuscripts during editorial processing where serious ethical concerns are identified.
Corrections and Errata
Minor errors that do not invalidate the findings of a publication may be corrected through formal correction notices or errata.
Retraction Notices
Retraction notices shall:
i. Clearly identify the affected article
ii. State the reason for retraction
iii. Remain permanently linked to the retracted article
iv. Preserve the integrity of the scholarly record
The journal follows internationally accepted ethical standards in managing post-publication corrections and retractions.
